Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports around the age of 14. Following her training in kickboxing, boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ she was able to make her debut as an amateur against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was only 18. Ladd continued to build on her win during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won 3 consecutive bouts. She dominated all her competitors in the initial round. In the following fight, she was back at WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen had previously defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia is superior to Aspen as she beat Cynthia by a majority vote. Cynthia's amateur record was affected. Ladd returned from the defeat and beat Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to make her record 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in the year 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11, she dominated Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta 16 saw her rise to the weight class of Bantamweight following her bout with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen's impressive wrestling skills took down McGill as she managed to finish her in the third round through TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She took on Hoy as an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd did not make the weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy to the point that she ended her fight with a TKO. Her final fight with Promotion, she beat Sijara Eubanks via unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, taking on Lina Langsberg. She was a step ahead of Lina as she used a combination of ground and pound to defeat her by TKO during the second round. In her next fight, she defeated Tonya Evinger with a more stunning victory. Ladd was able to beat Evinger to the punch in the opening round, and earned a Performance of the Night prize. Sijara Eubanks, a member of Invicta FC, was her opponent in the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first fight in a major tournament. They fought in one of the most competitive fights that Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. Both fighters earned an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd in 16 seconds and ended her streak of winning. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya in the third round on UFC in ESPN 7. In her most recent fight with the UFC she fought Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. The decision was made unanimously against her.
