Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began when she was just 14 years old. She was trained in boxing, kickboxing wrestling, BJJ, and other sports before making her professional debut at 18 at WCFC against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd later went on to beat three times within a row in Ultimate Reno Combat. All her opponents were defeated within the first moment. Then Ladd went on to WCFC for the second time and defeated Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia was beaten by Aspen and prevailed over her with a unanimous decision to put an ominous mark on her amateur record. Ladd recovered from this loss to defeat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in the year 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta 16 saw her rise to the weight class of Bantamweight following her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen's impressive wrestling skills was able to take down McGill in the first round, and she was able to end her third round via TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen had to face Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy using her catchweight (138.1lb), because Ladd did not make the weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and eventually ended her fight with a TKO. It was Invicta's FC 21 that she fought her final event for the company. The winner was Sijara Ebanks by unanimous decision. In Aspen's UFC debut was at UFC Fight Night 118 at which point she was up against Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina and pounded her with a ground and pound to score a second-round TKO victory. She came back to her winning ways with a stunning victory in her subsequent fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd defeated Evinger in just the first minute she was awarded a bonus for her performance during the evening. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent in an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her debut major fight. The two fighters had a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd beating her opponent by a unanimous vote and both fighters getting their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd in less than 16 seconds ending her win streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya during the third round at UFC on ESPN 7. She fought Norma Dumont as a substitute in her most recent fight with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. She lost the fight via unanimous decision.
