Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the young age of fourteen. Aspen Ladd had training in BJJ, kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before making her professional debut at WCFC aged 18. Ladd followed up to take down three opponents consecutively at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated were defeated within the first moment. Then she fought at WCFC to win again, beating Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen who beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's amateur record was damaged. Ladd recovered from this loss and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen was a professional when she entered the ranks in 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. Aspen faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and beat her in the first round to win a TKO. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's first match with a bantamweight. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar submission in the second round. Aspen dominated McGill in her wrestling, and eventually defeated her in the third round via TKO. Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd had not made Weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she defeated her via a TKO. The Invicta Fight Night 21 was her final event for the company. She beat Sijaraebanks in a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina using ground and pound to prevail by TKO in the second-round. She came back to her winning ways and scored an even impressive victory in her subsequent fight against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd beat Evinger to the punch in the first round. She also got a Performance of The Night prize. Her first major fight came during her subsequent fight at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos in which she faced. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. The two fighters had an intense fight which Ladd won by unanimous decision. Both fighters were awarded their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in less than 16 seconds in order to stop her winning streak. At the end of round three on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. As a replacement, she defeated Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. Dumont was defeated in a unanimous decision.
